Matthew Grobe
Matthew Grobe - PGA Head Golf Professional - Matthew attended the United States Air Force Academy from 1989 to 1992. He then attended Marshall University until 1995 and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, Matthew began his golf career at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane, West Virginia. He then relocated to Las Vegas and worked as the Assistant Golf Professional at Primm Valley Golf Club until 1998. In 1998, he was hired as the Head Golf Professional at Rhodes Ranch Golf Club and worked there until he joined DragonRidge in April 2004 as Tournament Director. He worked as the Director of Golf Sales at Lake Las Vegas Resort for one year and returned to DragonRidge in June 2006, where he was promoted as the Head Golf Professional. Matthew enjoys watching and playing sporting events and spending time with his family. His wife, Melanie, is a first grade school teacher and they enjoy sporting activities with their children, 10 year old Mackenzie and six year old Cameron. They also enjoy spending time with his parents, who have been married 35 years and live in North Carolina, and watching his father in his position of Head Football Coach at Wake Forest University. Matthew has served on various Board roles for the Southern Nevada Chapter of the Southwest Section of the PGA of America since 2001, including the roll of President, from 2004 to 2007. In 2004, he won the Southern Nevada Chapter Golf Professional of the Year and in 2007, he won the Bill Strausbaugh Award.
